Group Forms Week 5(?)

Is this week 4 or 5? I've lost count.
Group Forms this week, we've been talking about entrances, exits, and transitions. Something that had never struck me until it came up in class was that an entrance, transition, or an exit is not necessarily of a body in space, but also of a motif; an idea; a spatial pattern; an energy...
This is what I tried to play with in my movement bank for this week. I struggled with making this movement bank because I feel like I keep doing the same things and exploring the same ideas. I don't know how to make each bank unique from the others. However, I think I like the bones of this one, and now I have questions about how to most fully embody it before I show it in class: how do I make everything in it matter, and how do I iron out the bumpy in-betweens?
The score assignment for the week was to go to Thompson, play music we're considering for our midterm pieces, and observe as people enter and exit the space. I enjoyed this assignment: it was much more fruitful than I thought it would be at first glance. I found a sense of anticipation when nobody was moving through the space and the "stage space" (if you will) was empty: I might want to play with this sense of anticipation in my midterm and final pieces.

(I could not seem to get a good photo of these notes, so this is the best I have to offer at the moment.)
